Notice to Those Who Ride in New York
PSSA Release - August 19, 2006

According to the recently released Pennsylvania Snowmobile User's Survey, the most frequent out of state destination for Pennsylvania snowmobilers is New York State. Those traveling to New York this year should recognize that the registration fees have changed. From the New York Department of Motor Vehicles Website comes the following advice:

Beginning on April 30, 2006, the registration fee is $45 if you certify on form MV-82SN that you are a member of a NYS Snowmobile Association (NYSSA) club and show proof of membership. If you are not a member, the fee is $100. Visit the NYSSA web site for more information about NYSSA clubs.
