Executive Director's Update
Gee, having talked so much and written so much for our Conference a few days back --- I’m now left staring at a blank screen wondering what the heck to write...

PSSA Trail Grant Program
In 2006, PSSA presented a proposal to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources (DCNR) reflecting its vision of a viable snowmobile trail system for Pennsylvania. That vision focused on connecting trails, facilities, and communities to create a recreational corridor linking public and private trail segments, with quality maintenance, mapping, grooming, and signage throughout the State.

All legally-constituted snowmobile clubs are eligible to apply for trail funding, as long as the trail under consideration is open for use by the general public.

PSSA President Bob Kirchner
Meets Congressman Holden

I met with Congressman Tim Holden on a recent trip to Washington DC.  The Congressman was very gracious in accepting my face to face apology for misidentifying him late last year as a signatory of a letter seeking to ban us from
Yellowstone National Park.  He confirmed his support for our use of the Park, and also agreed to co-sponsor a bill seeking to close a recreation based loophole in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) that is a priority of several recreation groups.  I want to thank the Congressman for taking time from a busy schedule to meet with us and for his support in both areas.

Thanks to a partnership between ACSA,
the Pennsylvania State Snowmobile Association and Sleds2buy.com, a promising new opportunity for sled sellers, buyers and organized snowmobiling has been created.

If you have a sled, an ATV, or a trailer you would like to sell and you would like to get the word out to the state, country, or even world-wide, we can deliver!
For just $30 you can place an ad with up to 30 pictures for a month on sleds2buy.com. In addition
to helping you sell your item, when you use sleds2buy.com to do so, a portion of your listing fee comes back to the PSSA and ACSA to help support and preserve snowmobiling in Pennsylvania and beyond.
