Once again, we are at a critical time for comment letters on the future of snowmobiling in Yellowstone.

To make it easy to send your thoughts directly to the National Park Service, the American Council of Snowmobile Associations has produced a form letter that emails directly. Just click on the following link and send your comments:

PSSA MiniGrants:  Round III is Due December 15

To date, PSSA has successfully completed two rounds under its MiniGrant Program.  If you’re new to PSSA or the program is not familiar to you, it has been funded by a DCNR grant to PSSA and is designed to move smaller amounts of money more quickly to snowmobile clubs for necessary trail grooming and maintenance.  At the same time the Program aims to simplify the grant application process to make it manageable for all clubs in Pennsylvania. The recently conducted study on Winter Use for Yellowstone National Park again supports responsible, managed snowmobiling to continue in the park.  The recommendations from the Park Service are consistent with the statutory objectives of visitor use and enjoyment, codified in the National Park Organic Act of 1916.  Read the Entire Release

Last year members reported that they didn’t recognize their renewal package when it came in September’s mail.  Please look for it and remember to renew on time.  ALL PSSA MEMBERSHIPS EXPIRE on December 31^st, and 2010 cards are going out to our early-birds right now.
