More about our Pilot Project with MapGears:

PSSA is very excited to announce our Pennsylvania Snowmobile Maps and Trail Conditions Website and APPs with GPS. Similar to many other states and provinces snowmobile maps and trail conditions, our site will eventually provide PA Snowmobilers with updated maps, trail conditions, parking locations, fuel stops, food stops, caution areas, ride/route planning and more.

Getting the Application up and running has been a major cooperative effort between PSSA, PA DCNR State Parks & Forests, your Local Clubs, the Game Commission, and our sponsor for the first year – Zippo Outdoors. We’re very grateful for everyone’s effort in launching this project.

Training on how to update Trail Conditions is a work in progress. Hopefully within several weeks we’ll have snow to report and administrators trained on how to update trail conditions. Not all clubs with club trails have elected to participate at this time. If your club hasn’t signed up yet and is interested, please reach out to us at trails@pasnow.org. Trail format needs to be GPX or KML.

At this time PA Game Commission Trails are on the map but conditions will not be updated.

The PSSA Snowmobile Trail Conditions Mobile APP is available for iPhone at the Apple App Store or Android at the Google Play Store. The basic APP is available for free. The advanced APP costs $4.95 on both sites. Just a note on this, it renews every year unless you cancel it. Contact trails@pasnow.org for details, let us know if you need Apple or Android.
