Moving Forward – March 2023

Hi everyone,

My name is Rich Hayes. I am the new President of PSSA. Along with my wife, Loretta, I have been riding snowmobiles with our family and friends for forty years. I have been a PSSA Member for thirty-five years. We are active members of the PA Snowseekers Snowmobile Club.

Our club is 100% PSSA membership all these years as well. We hold monthly meetings in Zelienople and our clubhouse is in Highland Corners of Elk County. Our clubhouse is in the ANF.

For PSSA, I was Region 2 Director and Vice President. I was elected President to replace retiring Liz Klug. Hopefully, I can fill the shoes she left me! With Liz’ guidance, the goals we have been working on are as follows: Registration increase to have more money for grooming and trail maintenance; Map Gears, which is an online mapping and grooming report; and Mini Grants for equipment for trail maintenance, fuel and other projects being worked on.

This year is our first in-person Spring Meeting since the pandemic. I would like to invite you all to attend to hear reports on the above. It will be in Altoona, PA, on Saturday, April 15th. Registration can be found on the PSSA website and newsletter. My email address is rahazey@yahoo.com. Please contact me anytime with questions and concerns. I am sure with everyone helping we can accomplish a lot.

Thank you, Rich Hayes
