Moving Forward – March 2025

Hello, everyone!

How exciting has this winter been for everyone? I hope all riders had a chance to enjoy the long-anticipated snow. The snowfall in our northwestern Allegheny National Forest has allowed me personally to ride 903 miles. I was so hoping to hit 1000, but the snow is melting away too fast. We’ve heard great things about the PSSA Trails Condition application from riders using it this year. We will continue to work hard to have it run smoothly. If you have any input on the trail system, we’d love to hear from you.

The Board of Directors of PSSA met recently and made the difficult decision not to hold our PowerSports Show this year. There was a lot of thought and discussion on this important fundraiser, but ultimately the Board determined that the costs associated with putting on the show and the availability of volunteers to work there were obstacles too high to handle. We will revisit this each year in the future; we’re not saying never again!

The Spring Meeting is April 12th, 2025, at the Best Line Powersports in Centre Hall located at 2031 General Potter Highway. Look for the sign-up information in this Keystone Snowmobiler. Our Spring Raffle is underway – please get your tickets sold and back to us by April 5th, 2025, for your chance to win the great prizes. This meeting is always filled with club reports and information about PSSA. We have a great luncheon planned, the pulling of the winning tickets for the Spring Raffle, and a chance to meet fellow snowmobilers. Please try to attend – we look forward to seeing you there.

Thanks for your support,

Rich Hayes, President
