Open Board Seats

We currently have two open board seats. If you are interested in joining the board of PSSA please submit your resume/bio by August 14, 2022 to Rich Hayes at rahazey@yahoo.com

The bios of two candidates appear below.

ELIZABETH KRUG

Currently I am a Retired Administrator, President of PSSA and Graduate of Duquesne University.  I also own an Antique Business and Tree Farm.

Presently I am a member of the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club and the Southern Potter County Snowmobile Club.  My experience with snowmobile recreation includes grant writer, Region One Director, PSSA Secretary and current President of PSSA.

Along the way I have received various local and Erie Crawford Snowmobile Alliance awards.

I am a life member of the Northwest PA Woodlanders Association (Tree Farm) and served as a Board member on the Greene Township Sewer Authority.  In the past I supported recreation in the Township by being a member of the Parks and Recreation Committee.

In my current position as President of PSSA I represent the Board and members on the American Council of Snowmobile Associations (ACSA) board, United Snowmobile Alliance (USA) board, Snowmobile/ATV Advisory Council (SAAC) board and Registration Fee Committee.

I am also a member of the Steering Committee to establish the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail.  This trail is envisioned as a multi-use and year round trail which includes snowmobiles.  As a member of the Keystone Elk Country Alliance (KECA) I would support a snowmobile trail in the PA Wild’s area of Benezette and a major connector trail from the ANF to the Erie/ Crawford trails via the crossing of the Allegheny River near Tidioute.

Environmental issues in the Allegheny National Forest have been a concern of mine since they have the capacity to affect outdoor recreation.

My favorite riding areas are Erie, Crawford and Warren areas including the Allegheny National Forest.  I have made one trip to Yellowstone National Forest.

I consider myself fortunate to have met many people who have a passion for snowmobiling and volunteer their time/money to promote snowmobile recreation.

This is a very important time for everyone in Pennsylvania to support snowmobile recreation.  Discussions with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and PSSA continue to explore opportunities to improve the sport.

I will continue to work for all clubs to ensure they are heard and an equitable solution to provide excellent trails for all riders to experience is achieved.

My Vision for PSSA is to continue to work to advance the Organization’s  goals of providing safe and environmentally friendly snowmobile opportunities.  We must continue to use the latest technology to attract more members and help make the Association and snowmobile recreation financially viable.

I would appreciate your support.

DON MOSIER

I am married to Carol Mosier and have been since April 1968. We reside in  McKean, Pa. and have since Aug. 1968.  We raised our 2 children Brian and Amie.  We have been a snowmobile family since Jan. 1969. We have a camp in the ANF in Marienville Pa. and when we have proper snow, enjoy riding there.  I have been retired from UPS since 2003.  I am a member of the McKean Snowriders Snowmobile Club and have served as trail boss for several years and have been President for 18   years.  Also a member of PISC and CLSC in New York.  Enjoy riding in these areas and also Canada.

I  have been a PSSA board member for the past 9 years and have served on the mini-grant committee for 13 years.  My vision for PSSA is to continue to work to move forward to get more people involved in PSSA, without PSSA, the Pa. Snowmobile Clubs would be at a great loss.  In closing, I have met so many great people through Snowmobiling.  My wife and I have worked at several PSSA Power Sports Shows and met many nice people that have the same goal that we have.

Thank you, Don Mosier
